APPLETON PROGRAMME EMAIL 7.4.25

Hi Apples

Another fab session this week, and a really lovely start to "You will be found" - you learned 30 bars in 40 minutes!

As you know, next week is your last session before the Easter break. I won't be there but the lovely Ged is stepping in for me, and I know you will have another barnstorming rehearsal with him!

Running order is as follows:

ELECTRICITY - I know we ran this on Monday and it was terrific, but it is a favourite of Ged's and he really wants to hear it, so now is your chance to show off!

CALAMITY JANE - we have reached bar 120 (the "Annie get your gun" section), so Ged will recap from the beginning (I have explained to Ged that "Secret Love" will be a little "different", so fellas, don't be shy about showing him what we did last time - come in with gusto and surprise him!). Ged will then lead you through the next section from Bar 120 onwards. It's all fairly straightforward, with a lot of unison, until the end.

YOU WILL BE FOUND - a recap from the beginning, and then Ged will teach the next section from bar 31 onwards.

COLOURS OF THE WIND - another chance for you to show off to Ged!

If any of you who were not at this week's rehearsal WILL be participating in the Thelwall concert on June 14th, would you please let me know (either by reply here, or comment on the FB post) so that I can add you to the numbers. I must admit that I was a little disappointed by the show of hands - 45 out of a membership of 78, so I look forward to adding to this. This concert is being put on for you by fellow choir members, so please let's make the effort and do it justice.

Have a great session next week, and a relaxing Easter break, and I will see you all on April 28th.

Happy Easter!
